Born into a powerful lineage of Hoodoo practitioners in South Carolina's lowcountry, she was entrusted at an early age with the profound responsibility of preserving and perpetuating her family's ancestral practices, a charge she has honored with extraordinary devotion and grace.

Her spiritual credentials are as vast as they are profound: an initiated Iyanifa in the Yoruba tradition of Isese/Ifa and crowned Osun Priestess in the sacred city of Ile Ife, Nigeria; scratched to Yeye in Palo Mayombe/Brama Com Brama; and a gifted medium, healer, prophetess, seer, and root worker whose abilities have transformed countless lives. Yet beyond these impressive titles lies the heart of her true calling, Mama Toya's unwavering dedication to uplifting her community through both spiritual work and tangible action.

As the owner of Rootz and Stonz LLC, specializing in traditional Hoodoo and ancestral healing, Mama Toya has created a sacred space where the old ways are honored and the wisdom of the ancestors flows freely to those who seek it.
